Government: Here to Tell You What You Can and Can’t Do With Your Own Money on the Internet
Online gaming with bitcoin has been around since the digital currency was launched. In the past, players used well-known gambling sites such as Satoshidice, Sealswithclubs and Just-Dice.com. This website has seen a large number of players and multimillion dollar crypto bets using the platform. In fact, six years ago today Erik Vorhees sold his Satoshidice for 126,315 BTC, which at that time was worth $ 11.5 million. However, even though there are many online bitcoin gaming sites today, most people in the US are unable to participate because online casinos block the population. So when someone is in the country, usually the online gaming site servers can find out that their IP address comes from within the US.
For example, when a visitor from the US visits the Bitcoin Cash Bitcoin.com Game, they are greeted with a geoblocking message explaining that they cannot play any games for real money. However, visitors from the US can play with test tokens for fun at the BCH gaming casino.
“Our servers have detected that you are trying to play from within the US,” explains Cashgames.Bitcoin.com. “Unfortunately, foreigners living in Washington DC think they have the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with your own money on the internet.” The message added:
Since they will most likely harm us if we allow you to play on our site which has proven fair, we had to disable deposits for US players.
Thanks to All the Acts GW Bush Encourages, Law Enforcement Can Criminalize Anyone Offering Online Gambling Services to US Citizens
It’s strange that a country that is supposed to promote freedom doesn’t allow its citizens to do what they want with their money online. Currently, there are four states that allow online poker reservations: Delaware, Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, as well as Native American reservations. The reason why people don’t play poker or gamble online in the US is because of a law called The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA). The act was passed in congress and signed into law by then President George W. Bush. The laws were complex and were included on the Port Security Bill that year and excluded fantasy sports websites that met certain regulatory requirements. Basically, the law does not prosecute American individuals but rather foreign firms and offshore gambling operators. UIGEA gave the US
Many people think it would be foolish for US residents not to participate in online gambling because Americans like to bet. Plus there are jurisdictions across the country like Atlantic City and Las Vegas where people can gamble in person. But because they are so far and few, millions of people do not have the ability to go to casinos. So Americans often wonder why certain states allow online gambling, while the majority of them don’t.
Online gambling could boost the US economy if the UIGEA was lifted as currently most of the online casinos operate overseas. The money will be funneled into the US economy by millions willing to make bets, while creating jobs for people who specialize in customer service and software development. Even though the UIGEA came into force in 2006, there have been many attempts to provide casino games to Americans. For example, in 2011 US law enforcement agencies damaged three very large online casino operations – Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars, and Absolute Poker. According to prosecutors, the website violated the UIGEA and law enforcement said they tricked financial institutions into processing billions that came from American gambling on the platform.
Maybe Time to Reject the Few People Called Politicians?
Libertarians reject the reasons why the US government prohibits gambling and believe crimes like drugs and betting are not crimes. The reason why US residents cannot gamble online in the country is because the government uses a monopoly of power and coercion which only allows citizens to play lotteries operated by the state and regulated platforms. Due to this system, politicians have more opportunities to withdraw funds in the case of state lotteries and regulated tax companies. If they legalize online gambling, they will have less control over these types of funds and revenue will be siphoned off from approved operators. In a world based on voluntary consent, a small group of elected officials will not be able to impose their unfair rules on the rest of humanity.
To promote the idea of volunteering for the use of force, coercion, and violence, Bitcoin.com Bitcoin Cash Game not only apologizes to US residents for not being able to play, but also provides a short video entitled “Government Explanation.” The video has been viewed more than 668,000 times and involves the tale of curious aliens who visit the planet to check our progress as a species. The aliens discover that humans live under a government, which is doing many things that we disagree with as citizens such as polluting the earth and causing endless wars. After some initial inquiries, the aliens wanted a better understanding of what government is, what it does, and why it exists.
“Let me rectify this – Since you are worried about the small number of bad guys who are willing to kill, enslave, and steal, you think it’s necessary for your survival to have a system where some humans are among you, for a while. , could they call themselves government, and they could rule everyone like slaves and, if they wanted, commit mass murder, use the money they stole, use threats of violence? “Said the alien. “Politicians can kill, enslave and steal because if not, maybe someone else? And you try to pick good honest people to become politicians, but what happens all the time is that the people you vote for are corrupt, evil, liar liar – that’s your system? “People explaining how government works respond by acknowledging:
Yes, that’s pretty much governance.
If you are questioning why the US government bans online gambling, you should check out the Government Explained video, written and voiced by Graham Wright of Man Against The State. This story is based on part of a lecture by Larken Rose at the Conference on Your Free Thought in 2011. Since its release, the video has been translated into German, Spanish, French, Polish, Slovak, Slovenian, Greek, Russian, and Chinese. Crime is not a crime and people should be able to spend their funds the way they want, whenever they want without a body of politicians saying they can’t. Cryptocurrency-backed online casinos will continue to be popular for decades to come and it is a shame that citizens of the so-called Free Lands cannot participate. All because of the small number of bureaucrats from Washington D.C. who claim to protect people from gambling abuse and victimization. Ironically, the representatives have no problem with the state operated lottery they control because it creates a lot of revenue for the country.
